Challenging

Leonhart tables and the best kicker players in the world have a lot in common. A maximum of passion, for example. But also increasing demands. So the kicker sport should conquer the professional or pub corner and the modern lifestyle world.

The result

Under the motto “Play with Style”, iD relaunched the entire brand so that it could make its way into the lifestyle segment. Including logo, stationary, all relevant 360° media, social media and press work. A web shop was integrated into the completely revised website so that the tables, made in Bavaria, can now conquer the world even more easily.

The KEC is simply a cult club and has been consistently represented in the top ice hockey league since 1973.

Challenging

Düsseldorf and Cologne are rivals on the Rhine – these matches are already full of excitement and action. If you stage the whole thing as a Winter Games in the RheinStadion with 42,500 seats, a completely different potential comes to light. Although the fans from Cologne and Düsseldorf mobilise for the Rhein-Derbys again and again, the range of the usual advertising campaign had to be blown up for the big match in January. For comparison: The Lanxess Arena, home game location of the Cologne sharks, only accommodates about 19,000 guests during the games.

The result

We developed the motto “gloria victoria sit” and built the entire campaign as a gladiator fight. We have slaughtered the theme to the blood. In the historical theme there was a suitable shooting in the Roman-Germanic Museum with Alexander Barta from DEG and Moritz Müller from KEC.

The VfL Gummersbach is the traditional club of the German Handball Bundesliga. As the only club that has always played continuously in the elite class, the world-famous current record holder has made handball great and produced real legends.

Challenging

Handball is by far the most popular German club sport after football. As a co-founder of the Bundesliga, the VFL Gummersbach, also known throughout Europe, strove to reorient the club in order to inspire all fans to play their own sport in a contemporary way and to make Germany the No. 1 handball country again.

The result

With the new claim “home of handball”, the VFL Gummersbach is positioning itself as the centre of an athletic, exciting and fair top-class folk sport. All club media were given a new look that lived up to the speed and authenticity of handball. In order to present the new self-conception, a club film was shot that shows what makes the sport so special: real closeness to the players. In addition, a club hand signal was established, which enjoys great popularity among fans and players and makes one thing clear: VfL rocks handball. Since 1861 and also in the future.

In January 2019 the coolest meeting of all times took place in Cologne’s RheinEnergieSTADION: The Rhenish rivals of the Cologne sharks and Düsseldorf EC invited to the DEL Winter Games for an ice hockey spectacle in a class of its own. As the exclusive marketing & communication agency of the Cologne Haie, iD supported the event from the very beginning to the sold-out stadium.

Challenging

First, the KEC had to beat out some really strong competitors in the competition to host the event – and then find 500 volunteers to make the event possible on site. Both were mastered with the support of iD. The game itself was supported by an extraordinary campaign to attract around 50,000 visitors to the stadium.

The result

The traditional feud between the two DEL teams goes back to the time of the Romans and the Germanic tribes. Therefore iD staged the two opponents in golden armour under the motto “GLORIA VICTORIA SIT” under a concise logo in the Roman-Germanic Museum. In order to boost ticket sales massively, a whole range of several hundred advertising media was developed, from large billboards to social media to the integration of the entire shark vehicle fleet. The result: a top-attended, incomparable fan spectacle.
